3D printing materials and filter media
Materials and structure development for 3D printer
Recently, 3D printers are expanding their applications to a wide variety of areas such as machinery, architecture, biotechnology, and nanotechnology. In our lab, we work on the following topics by developing various composite source materials for 3D printing.
- 3D printed electronic devices, biomaterials, and sensors
- 3D printed EMI shielding interfaces
- Magnetic materials development for 3D printing of magnets
Electrospun nanofiber mesh for filtering ultrafine particulate matters
Air quality deterioration is a direct threat to our quality of life and health. Therefore, the development of high performance filters is very important to cope with this situation. To this end, we develop ultrathin and light air filters using electrospun nanofibers. To achieve this goal, we investigate on various polymers with high dipolar moment and try to find optimal electrical & chemical process to further extend filtering efficiency.
- Ultrathin and flexible filter media with high filtration efficiency and low pressure drops
- Electrical and chemical methods for filtering and antibacterial performance enhancement of filter media
